You should try oil analysis. It works great! You don't need to keep doing it, once you establish how long your oil is REALLY good for. You could very well be throwing away perfectly good oil! You only would need to redo if say, you go from mostly highway miles to short trip or mostly city driving, or visa versa.Decon Blue wrote: ↑Sun Jul 21, 2019 10:09 am1st change was at 585 miles, 6 days after I purchased my Ryker.
I intend to continue to do oil and filter every 3000.
I’d much rather spend $$ on oil and filter than on speakers, wraps, decals, overpriced exhausts, ect. Learn to do your own maintenance and it’s way more affordable to do routine upkeep instead of trying to push the limits of how many miles you can go between changes.

Your more than welcome to my USED OIL, and my better than new USED FILTERS. Now that you have read and understand how to check your oil level it’s good to know we now have a lubrication specialist on this Forum.

Yes, indeed! I'm especially a diesel expert. Too bad a much more high efficient diesel engine is not available as an option for the Ryker.Decon Blue wrote: ↑Mon Jul 22, 2019 5:32 amit’s good to know we now have a lubrication specialist on this Forum.Aufgeblssen47 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 22, 2019 4:59 amYou should try oil analysis. One should not have to do the Magdalena Cantilever Loopensteiner Wallendiner dance in order to get an accurate reading!!! Never had to in any vehicle I had, and my BMW read properly & the same whether just fired up or been running for hours.

Yep, one just has to read the owners manual before making a post, Witch obviously you weren’t capable of. Again, your welcome to my used oil and filters.
