Although helmets are not required in Florida, I still own something like seven helmets. I really don't like any of them but favor what I call a little eggshell skull cap that I picked up in Thailand and a Leather covered legal helmet without a face shield. I keep my other helmets in case I have a visitor that needs one. I wear a doo rag(?) to protect the inside of my helmets and keep them clean, so they don't smell from sweat. I believe in wearing a helmet but do not believe in gov regulation mandating the wearing of protection. I wear a helmet most of the time, except when I might just be going to down the street in the neighborhood. My skull cap helmet is hardly any protection at all, unless maybe to protect me from bumping my head or a minor fall. But whether or not I protect myself does not effect others, so that is my business.
