Drivers Comfort Seat
Drivers Comfort Seat
Anybody out there ride on the stock seat and then put on a comfort seat? Just wondering how much difference it made and if worth purchasing. It seems to be one of the most popular accessories but I can't find any reviews on it. Getting close to pulling the trigger and getting one but would like maybe a little input first. Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

Re: Drivers Comfort Seat
I rode around on the stock seat for about 2 weeks before installing the comfort seat. The stock seat, being made from memory foam is actually quite comfortable and supportive. It does seem to be temperature sensitive though, feeling much softer when it's warm out. I found the lip on the rear of the stock seat a bit intrusive, and the higher, wider and slightly flatter comfort seat lets me sit a bit further back and give my legs a bit more room. I feel that the seat is worth the price, although installation is fairly involved.

I heard that the seat was very easy to install. Just pull the old one up and out, line up the new one and press it in place.

Re: Drivers Comfort Seat
I went to a dealership and sat on both... I was a bit surprised by how tough BOTH seats were as the YouTube videos. Made them sound oohh so comfortable. That being said the comfort seat felt MUCH more pleasant. I also sat on a Spider while I was there and the comfort is at a whole mother level. All that being said the comfort was well enough for decent rides.. and awesome for to and from the workplace

Re: Drivers Comfort Seat
I tested both out after leg day and the comfort seat felt way better to me. After a 6 hour ride I was still pretty comfortable on it, this was my first long ride too so I'm not used to it yet.

Re: Drivers Comfort Seat
Although the stock seat wasn't uncomfortable, my comfort seat is a noticeable improvement. I ordered mine when I bought the bike and had it installed by the dealer.
Re: Drivers Comfort Seat
Comfort is relative. I row pretty often, siting on 1/4" of foam on a hard wood plank, so I find my stock Ryker seat is very comfortable. My suggestion would be that you sit on a bucket for an hour before you tgo riding. Your Ryker seat will feel like heaven.
