Price negotiation.

#1 Post by Fire252fighter » Tue Apr 16, 2019 2:49 pm

Looking to see how the market is on the ryker 900 non rally.

Just not sure if most have seen above or below msrp or able to talk them down at all.

Dealer close to me has listed at 9,999 but I’m sure when I get there I’m going to get the 600 shipping 400 admin bs. Just wondering if I can talk them down to cover the bs.
Somewhere around 11,000 ish+

A dealer in Kansas which someone posted in another post was at 8,499 with 199 admin only. I got a very basic quote on shipping from there to me based on zip code and it was 450.
Somewhere around 9150 ish+

I know none of this includes plate fees or tax’s.

The dealer I'm buying from in Kansas is MSRP on all his Ryker's and a $99 admin fee. No freight or prep and 10% off of accessories at time of purchase. I don't think anyone is selling under MSRP since they are so new and in high demand. Waiting on my Rally to come in.

In Ohio it's the same. MSRP plus discount on accessories. My local dealer doesn't charge assembly, maintenance or destination charges like some others do. I got my 600 out the door for a little under $9200. The 900 was out the door for close to $11000. Like was said by KC61, being so new they are going for MSRP pretty much everywhere. I was willing to pay MSRP for mine but I bet if you wait a few months, depending on how your local dealer stock moves, you may get a better price. I got the last 600 at my dealer (only can am dealer within 400 miles) and they sold their last 900 a few days later so I knew I wasn't going to get any deals any time soon.

Thanks guys I figured as much just trying to be prepared. If they tack on freight and large admin fee I may order from elsewhere and have it shipped to a local bike shop. Or at the very least play with that possibility with them to see if they will knock some of it off. I have never bought any motorcycle or off road type vehicle so it’s all new to me.
