600 or 900?! Which to buy
600 or 900?! Which to buy
I’m set to buy but can’t seem to make up my mind! I’m not a speed demon or someone who likes to take corners as fast as possible. I don’t plan to do any off-roading or racing either. I commuted to work on my motorcycle which was a 650 Kawasaki Vulcan S. didn’t feel I need more power than that even on the major highways. Will the Ryker 600 do the trick for my needs?
Re: 600 or 900?! Which to buy
I'm getting the 900 Rally. If I was you I would test ride both. I never considered the 600 because I'm 6' 240. The 600 may be just fine for you though but definitely ride them both if you can.
Re: 600 or 900?! Which to buy
I test drove the 900 That was lots of fun! I’m 5ft 1inch and light but hubby is 6’2” and we double would that make a huge difference? But yes good advise. I will test drive both.
Re: 600 or 900?! Which to buy
I like the 600 for only me on the vehicle, I personally bought the Ryker for the ride and not the power (that's what my sport bike is for). I am planning on getting the rear shock and seat at some point so my wife can ride with me. It know it has enough power for both her and me, but like others said, I would just plan on getting a 900 if you do a lot of 2up riding just to be safe.
Re: 600 or 900?! Which to buy
I have the 600 and I have had my wife on the back a few times. I purchased the 2-up rear spring with it. I've had the bike up to 75 with her on the back; no problem! We have a 175 foot high bridge that we go over, and the 600 handles it without any problems. It is a capable 2-up roadster.
I would suggest you test the 600 out as well.

Re: 600 or 900?! Which to buy
The 600cc is 47 hp, the 900cc is 77 hp, almost double hp. If your planning on doing any highway cruising or two up riding the 600 may not cut it. The extra money for the 900 would be a worth while investment longer term for ride flexibility in my opinion..
