600 ACE or 900 ACE?
Re: 600 ACE or 900 ACE?
I went with the rally, the added mode and upgraded suspension appealed to me. Even the added cosmetics look nice. It was definitely going to have the 900 engine though. Funny thing I've notice when driving this, is that it sounds like a jet ski and always laugh about that haha. Its been an adjustment from two wheels to this, but it has been fun. Still love the way it looks.

Prior to riding one, I just took it for granted I would need / want the 900, I'm 6', 230 lbs, After riding, I definitely am glad I got the 900 R. I think the 600 would great for anyone new to riding, 175 lbs or less. Anything bigger and you should go to the 900, IMO.

Simply a number. I rode cross country in a '74 Honda CB450 DOHC. Only 41 HP. No problems at all.

A four cylinder would have been nicer (i.e. smoother). Took my buttockage about 1/2 hour to stop being NUMB at the end of the 1st day!Aufgeblssen47 wrote: ↑Fri May 03, 2019 9:59 amSimply a number. I rode cross country in a '74 Honda CB450 DOHC. Only 41 HP. No problems at all.

600 for the wife. Though I enjoy the long trips having ridden the two wheeler to Sturgis from AZ multiple times, the wife and I going forward will haul them to our riding area and do day rides from there. Only way I could convince her to start riding.

Not inferior by any means. Don't want to get in trouble with any women, but this is her first bike. I ride a Honda VTX 1800 and will continue until I get too old, which is probably closer than I want to admit. Picking it up tomorrow. Funny how the pricing varied so much from dealer to dealer. Got the best price from a Smaller Dealer.Aufgeblssen47 wrote: ↑Thu May 09, 2019 6:27 amSo a 900 for you? Sounds like you are implying women are inferior.
Re: 600 ACE or 900 ACE?
Now that this has been a year or so, how do people feel? I feel the 600 is fine and there is no reason to go with the 900. The bike is always at peak hp so is much more powerful than a 600cc road bike. I figure mine has 20% more hp than my Sportster had and 20% less than my Superglide - Both of which rarely ran at peak hp. Even at 80mph i still have plenty of power, even with 2 people. The only reason I can see to go with the 900 is lower rpms, but the design of the ryker makes it so that doesn't happen.

My buddy got a 600, let him ride my 900 and he wants to trade-in for a 900 now. I do like the sound of the 600 though.
