A modular BiLT Techno 2
Overall, I like it. Though I will most likely got to a Shoei modular when I upgrade.

Meh, I have seen so many helmets lately. I went to Cycle Gear locally to try on the helmets and ended up with the BiLT one. It has a built in Sena built Bluetooth unit. It works good to listen to my phone GPS. It sucks at making phone calls. The Shoei Neotec 2 that I will eventually, get has provisions for the Sena SRL which has a voice dial option that lets me connect to Siri so I can have her adjust my route or send a text.

I have 3 helmets and each one of them suck !!!
What helmet has a good visor that doesn't make your ears flap from wind passing through ????

Sorry, none of my helmets have visors. But I really like my Speed and Strength 1310. Great ventilation and quiet too. Came with clear and dark shields and price was great.

Bilt Power Modular
I was going to get the Bilt Techno 2, but I didn't like how it felt, so I saved about $100. Maybe I'll try one of the pricier helmets next time.

I have the HJC modular ,a full face helmit. Ive had it 5 years and wondering if I should replace it because of age.? Any thoughts on age effects on a helmit.?
Should it be replaced ?
Also I see many riders with a rag tied on their head instead of a helmit.Scares the heck out of me.
Are these special high impact rags or are they planing on being a vegtable some day. ?

Yes, Helmets do have a certain age date. Not sure myself what that is, google it. And although I do support the right to decide if you want to wear a helmet or not , after having my accident a few years back Iām sure glad I was wearing all my gear. Every helmet manufacturer recommends replacing its helmets at least every five years, some every three years. All associations, safety groups, and everyone I could find from Snell to the Motorcycle Safety Foundation all have the same recommendations.
Looks like I need to do some helmit shopping.
